International candidates can apply at IIM Trichy through the institute's dedicated international admission process, which may involve submitting transcripts, academic records, and language proficiency test scores. The duration of IIM Trichy DPM/PhD course is five-years. The maximum duration by which a candidate must complete the course is seven years. In the first eighteen months of the course, candidates have to complete a coursework, which includes study of general management subjects, advanced courses in the respective areas of specialisation, fundamental courses for management research, and programmes in research methodologies. Furthermore, aspirants have to earn at least a minimum of 54 credits.
