Eligible students need to qualify CAT/GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC-JRF exams for admission to DPM programme. The admission process also include personal interview round. Additionally, the application fee for DPM admissions is INR 1,000 (No fee for SC/ST/DAP candidates). Candidates seeking admissions can apply online.

According to the NIRF ranking 2025, IIM Trichy ranked 16th in Management whereas IIM Udaipur ranked 21. During IIM Trichy placements 2023, the highest and average package offered was INR 41.61 LPA and INR 20.55 LPA. Whereas during IIM Udaipur placements 2023, the highest and average package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 36 LPA and INR 20.3 LPA, respectively.
