There are more than 3,500 students at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), from across 108 nations. Founded in 1993, the university is located within the Dubai Knowledge Park. It is the first Australian university to be accredited internationally in the United Arab Emirates.

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is continuously ranked among the top 200 universities in the world on the basis of the quality of their graduates. Many of the university's courses are among the best in the world, according to the University of Wollongong's UAE subject ranking 2023. The University of Wollongong - UAE MIM has been ranked 41st in the Masters in Supply Chain Management Rankings by QS for the year 2023.
