Hi,
As you have done Masters in chemistry you can give CSIR UGC NET exam and not NTA UGC NET exam. CSIR conducts UGC exam for science subjects.

Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET exam. The eligibility criteria for exam is PG degree from a recognised universities or colleges so IGNOU is a recognised university.

Hello Anitha, No, you can't. According to UGC NET guidelines, the basic requirement for the exam is candidates have to be post graduated or in the qualifying year of Masters. The applicants should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters to apply for the exam. If you want to apply for JRF NET exam then your age must not be more than 30 years. Hello Avni,
NTA has announced the UGC NET Dec 2018 date schedule. As per the dates, the UGC NET 2018 Application Form has been started from the 1st September and the last date will be 30th September 2018. The exam will be conducted from 9th December to 23rd December 2018 in two shifts per day on Saturday and Sunday. Here are the steps which candidates have to follow to apply for the exam. Engineering degree holders with 60% marks are eligible for NET. If you are M.Tech holder, then you need 55% marks in your post-graduation to become eligible for these exams. You will be eligible for engineering sciences subject in CSIR NET.
