Firstly, there is no such subject as biology in NET exam. UGC NET provides specialized subjects option. So, if your specialization is provided by UGC NET, you can apply in that particular subject. You can visit the UGC site or information is provided by Shiksha and get detailed information from it. Good luck.

The SET qualified candidates will be eligible for appointment of the lecturer post only in universities/colleges, belonging to the state from where they have cleared the SET exam.

As you have done Masters in chemistry you can give CSIR UGC NET exam and not NTA UGC NET exam. CSIR conducts UGC exam for science subjects.
