St Joseph's University was previously St. Joseph’s College. On July 2, 2022, the government of Karnataka issued a notification conferring the status of a University on the college under the RUSA 2.0 Scheme of the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) by the St Joseph’s University Act, 2021. It officially upgraded from St. Joseph’s College to St. Joseph’s University on September 27, 2022.

Ranchi University is a below average university. If you observe the data online about Ranchi university, the college does not seem good. the college offers multiple programs in medical, engineering, bsc, msc, Ph.D and many more.

Many small colleges are affiliated to it. if you see this university placement wise, the student intake here is more than 6500 and the placement is only about 200-300 students with an average package of 2-3 lakh. I do not recommend the college for placements on observing the data online and reviews of many students. The faculty performance is also declining year to year, with delays in holding exams, not showing
