The UC Davis acceptance rate is 37%, whereas the University of California San Diego acceptance rate is 23%. This demonstrates that UCSD is harder to get into and follows a more stringent approach during admissions. The UC Davis prioritizes factors, such as rigor of secondary school records, GPA scores, essays, relevant work experience, extracurricular activity, talent, personal qualities, and volunteer work. On the other hand, UCSD gives precedence to factors, such as GPA score, class rank, application essay, extracurricular activity, talent, personal qualities, and state residency.
