Indian students need to demonstrate enough finances to fund their studies in Germany. For this, students need to open a blocked account in Germany. This blocked account needs to have a minimum INR 12 Lakhs to fund a year of living in the country. Students need to set up this account before applying for a German student visa.

Students would also need an valid health insurance before arriving in the country. This is mandatory for all. A public health insurance is generally a better option than a private one.
