Is a university expensive to live or not, may vary as per the needs, preferences, goals and personal expenditure. However, braodly taking in account all the expenses required to live comfortably while studying at University of Malaya, it will cost an international student around REM 18,000 yearly. Getting a part-time job while studying at the University of Malaya, is not difficult for international students or native students as well. International students with valid visas are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during their regular academic sessions. Typically, international students who are studying at the University of Malaya, enrol in part-time jobs which include working at mini markets, hotel staff, restaurants, and petrol pumps among others.
