The President's Scholarship is awarded to highly qualified & eligible freshman students on a yearly basis. The overall cash prize of the scholarship is USD 72,000 that is given out in yearly installments of USD 18,000 per year.

Students who meet the below listed eligibility criteria can apply for the scholarship:

• Achieve a ACT Composition Score of 31
• SAT score of 1390 (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + Math)
• Must be part of the top 5% of the graduating rank
• Must be a Valedictorian/Salutatorian

UMHB students are required to live in university housing, unless they satisfy one of the below mentioned criterias:

• Plan to live with a spouse, parent or a legal guardian within commutable distance from the university campus
• Have accumulated 48 or more hours & are at-least 21 years old
• Planning to attend the institute as a part-time student 

The 3rd point is only applicable for fall/spring semesters.
