Mumbai University Institute of Distance and open Learning -MU IDOL is a distance education department in Mumbai University. The department is the 7th University in the country to start the Distance Education program. The Institute of Distance and open Learning offers various undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the streams of Arts, Science and technology, commerce and management, etc.

Both the institutes cannot be compared on the basis of B.Sc because B.Sc is not available to pursue at Terna Engineering College. If we compare both the institutes on an overall basis, Terna Engineering college was ranked #54 out of 170 in India  #8th in Mumbai by times of India. Both the institutes are good in thier respective fields. The rankings and placement packages of both institutes are almost same. As B.Sc is not available to pursue at Terna Engineering College, thus comparison cannot be done.
