The University of Hyderabad provides a two-year MCA programme with an enrollment of 42 students from various general and reserved categories. Admission to MCA at Hyderabad University is through NIMCET. The National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a test used to admit students to MCA programmes. Mahindra University offers a four-year B.Tech program at the UG level. Students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and have a valid score on the JEE Main exam can apply. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech is atleast 45% in 12th, and there is councelling for admission process through JEE Mains/SAT Score (conducted by Mahindra University).

The University of Hyderabad does not offer a BTech program. The university offers an Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering, for which the cutoff is based on JEE Main scores.

Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the M.Tech cutoff scores needed to get into University of Hyderabad are ranged between 463 and 507 for the General AII India category students. Admission in University Of Hyderabad is accepted through the official website of the institute. The candidates need to appear in any of the university level examination like CUET, JEE Main, CEED, GATE, NIMCET, CAT, UGC NET, SET NET, NBHM, JRF, ICMR, ICAR, and DBT, After scoring decent marks in these examinations, candidates are required to attend a Personal Interview (PI) round .
Note: Candidates need to score at least 60 % marks at +2 or equivalent in Arts or Sciences to be eligible for admission in University Of Hyderabad.
