There are a total of 150 questions in Diploma-Level engineering subject, 20 each question in General Awareness/General Knowledge and Reasoning, 10 questions in Hindi. The total marks allotted to CBT are 200. Candidates need to secure 30 per cent to qualify the exam. The test paper carries a total of 200 questions.

UPPCL JE marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. For correct answer, candidates score one mark. There is a negative marking for wrong answers. For the wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. To qualify the exam, candidates need to secure 30 per cent or else they will be rejected from the selection process.
