If you hold a 3-year degree like BA/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA or B.Tech/B.Pharma in 10+2+3 /4 system from any recognised university, it makes no difference whether you earned it in regular mode or correspondence/distance learning mode. Only thing to be checked is - your university and its distance education programme should be recognised. For IAS/PCS or any government. Job or exam, both degrees are absolutely equal. For admission to Masters programme viz. MA/M.Sc/M.Com/MBA, both degrees are equal. For admission to 3-year LL.B. According to CDS eligibility criteria 2020, candidates applying for the exam must be 20 to 24 years. Candidates who have passed graduation or appearing for their final year are eligible to apply for CDS exam provided they submit a relevant certificate of passing the examination at the time of commencement of course.

You can write on your words but the answer must reflect the right thing asked in question. Vocabulary must be strong. It is difficult to memorize everything hence you have to write the summary in your own word.

First of all, civil service is a responsibility for us. There is nothing easier or harder. We should be dedicated towards our work, whatever it is. For your answer, IFS deals with external affairs of country. Ambassador and high commission era, etc. IAS deals with internal administration of the country.
