Yes, you can appear for UPSC because the eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC exam is graduation from any UCG-approved college and it can be medical or paramedical there is no issue in that.

No, for UPSC you have to only qualify your graduation after that you are eligible but a regular degree is slightly better than an open degree because in a regular college you have social interaction interactions with professors. You have ample opportunity to refine yourself through college society extra circular activities which experience not only help in the interview but throughout your UPSC preparation.

Dear aspirant, Yes, one can write the UPSC and MPSC exams who is graduate from YCMOU because YCMOU is recognized by UGC and granted statutory power by the Maharashtra State legislature. The syllabus of UPSC is based on complete general studies and one optional subject of your choice. So you can choose any subject listed by UPSC in their syllabus. You can go through the UPSC exam syllabus for civil services on its official website. Maths is recommended and you'll be able to handle it with relative ease if you have engineering experience. Yes, you can apply for UPSC civil services exam after completing the computer Science engineering degree. Anyone who is an Indian who possesses a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university is eligible for the IAS exam. The students who are in the final year of their degree course are also eligible. You can go through the UPSC exam syllabus for civil services on its official website. But computer science is not an optional subject. UPSC has put core engineering subjects as optional. Perhaps they do not see CS as a core branch yet.
