Without prior work experience, admission to the MS programme at The University of Texas in San Antonio (UTSA) is feasible. Work experience is not listed as a prerequisite for admission to UTSA's graduate programs 2 on their website. However, depending on the particular program, entrance requirements could change. For instance, the UTSA Alternate Entry Master of Science in Nursing programme does not require job experience for applicants; instead, it requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and a registered nurse (RN) license.

Applying to RISD is similar to applying to other universities in the US in that applicants need to submit their credentials electronically using the online methods or mail paper versions of official transcripts, recommendations, and test reports to the RISD Admissions Office however RISD is a specialised art and design school so applicants need to submit artwork, test scores, and essays/statements. RISD has advanced tools and resources for students to use, and the campus hosts some 80,000 artworks.
