Yes, you can and you have to if you want to practice medicine in the USA mainly. All international medical graduates must take the USMLE.

To pursue your PG and practice further, you as an international student must take country specific licensing exam. Know the differences, USMLE is meant for US and Canada whereas PLAB is mainly for European nations. Similarly countries like Australia, New Zealand etc. also have their own exams.

You must take either USMLE 1 or MCAT, if you want to pursue PG in medical studies. Most of the programs are not open for international applicants. Another alternative is a specialized Masters such as MS or MA in psychology, for which you can take GRE or GMAT to be considered for admissions. In short, you cannot apply without clearing any entrance.

USMLE is a three step test taken to practice medicine in US. Just be aware that is a tough examination and requires a great deal of hard work and dedication plus knowledge. You must hold relevant qualification to be eligible. Kindly, visit the USMLE website for all details:
