Uttarakhand Open University

In order to get admission to a two-year MA course at Uttarakhand Open University, candidates are first required to check the basic eligibility criteria for this course. As this is a PG level course, so the minimum education for an aspirant is to get a UG degree in any stream from a recognised university. The university provides direct admission to candidates who passed graduation level examinations and hold a UG degree. Interested students can apply online on the official website of Uttarakhand Open University and fill an application form along with submitting their scorecards of Class 12 and UG as proof. 

Uttarakhand Open University offers PG courses such as M.Com MBA, MCA MTTM and MSW. All of these courses are offered with the course duration of two years. Uttarakhand Open University also offers lateral entry admission in the second year of MCA and M.Sc. IT programmes.

The university has not released the official placement report for the year 2023. However, as per placement report 2021, a total of 38 Diploma in Hotel Administration students were placed during UOU placement 2021. Students were placed in top companies such as Grand Hyatt Kochi, The Leela Group of Hotels and among others during placement 2021.

UOU offers BA, BBA, BSc, BCom, BCA, etc., at the UG level and MA, MSc, MA, MCA and MCom at the PG level. Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) is the only Open University established in the state of Uttarakhand with an objective to impart distance learning education at the UG and PG levels. The university offers over 85 programmes at UG, PG and Doctorate levels. UOU admission is merit-based.
