Candidates can join UOU Uttarakhand by qualifying the basic eligibility criteria. The University offers admission to UG level programmes based on the merit based results secured in Class 12. Similarly, for PG level programmes, candidates are required to qualify graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Apart from this, candidates opting for courses that require entrance exam qualification, must secure valid scores in entrance exams stated valid by the University.

UOU Uttarakhand offers MBA as a PG level course in full-time mode. The University offers MBA based on entrance. Therefore, candidates are required to qualify graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% and secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as CAT/ MAT or equivalent others.
UOU Uttarakhand MBA fee structure includes tuition fees worth INR 40.4 K. The fee structure, originally includes several other components. However, the University has not reflected the same yet. Therefore, candidates must visit the official website of UOU Uttarakhand to learn more.

UOU Uttarakhand is not very difficult to get admission at. Candidates must fullfil the basic eligibility criteria provided by the University. UOU Uttarakhand offers admission based on merit and entrance, depending on the level (UG or PG) of course. Candidates must qualify Class 12 or graduation with minimum suggested aggregate.
Courses such as MBA is offered based on the accepted entrance exam such as MAT/ CAT or university level entrance exams. Uttarakhand Open University application forms are out is open for various UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses. The last date to fill out the online application form has passed for the year 2025 . Further, the last date to apply for BA Yoga (Hons.) and MA Yoga has also passed for 2025. Candidates seeking admission to any courses can apply online through the official website of the university before the last date. The admission to the course is merit and entrance-based. Additionally, applicants must have to full fill out the basic eligibility criteria for their desired courses.

In case a candidate misses the deadline for Uttarakhand Open University registration, candidates can write mail or contact the admission office for assistance. In case nothing can be done, candidates are required to register in the next cycle. The university conducts admission in two cycles summer and winter. Admission to most of the courses is based on merit of the candidate in the last qualifying exam. In case of courses such as B.Ed, PhD, MBA and other courses, admissions are offered based on entrance exam scores.

UOU admission process is both entrance-based and merit-based. Some of the programmes, such as M.A., MSc and BSc admission is merit-based. However, B.Ed and MBA admission is based on a valid score in entrance examination. Interested candidates can fill out the application form in both online and offline modes.

For PG level courses, such as M.A., MSc, MBA, candidates must have passed graduation with minimum 50% aggreagte. Selection for majority of the programme, is based on merit in the last qualifying examination. However, MBA admission is entrance-based (MAT/CAT/university level exam).
UG courses, including Bcom and BSc requires Class 12 from a recognised board. Final admission is merit-based at Uttarakhand Open University (UOU), Haldwani.
