Yes, College of Engineering Roorkee, COER is very good for Engineering. The college provides excellent engineering courses in various specializations at very affordable cost. The placements are good at COER - Roorkee. Approximately 70% to 80% of the students get placed. The lowest package is INR 2 LPA and the highest package in this year is INR 13 LPA. Approximately 45% students got internship through off campus. Top packages were from CSE department. Top roles offered were of Software Engineer, Software Developer, Data Analysis, etc.

For persuading B.Tech at COER Roorkee, Candidate need to appear JEE MAINS exam and get at least 50 percentile in that as the closing rank is near about 5,00,000. Thus for 50 percentile, they need 31-40 marks out of 300. However, for Computer Science they need 70 percentile, i.e 41-50 marks out of 300. Additionally, candidates must have at least 45% in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology.

Roorkee Institute of Technology provides various courses such as BTech in six specialisations, M.Tech in three specialisations,   MBA,   BSc, MCA, BEd, BA LLB, BMLT, etc. The admissions to these courses are both based on merit and entrance exam. Some of the entrance exam accepted include MAT, CAT, JEE Main, GATE, etc.
