Yes, there is reservation for the students having domicile of Uttarakhand state. Almost 50% of the total available seats are reserved for the state students. Further, the 50% of the seats are given to the students belonging from other states.

DIMS Dehradun admissions are both merit and entrance-based depending on the programme. Students seeking to get into the institute need to fulfil the basic eligibility of clearing the last qualifying exam. Further, the institute selects candidates primarily on a merit basis for all courses except for BAMS.
