VBSPU, Jaunpur accepts PUCAT, or the Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test, as the entrance to the BSc programme. Candidates are selected for the BSc programme based on their performance in the entrance exam. Other than PUCAT, VBSPU accepts other entrance examinations regarding the various courses it offers. However, in the case of a BSc programme, only PUCAT is required as the entrance examination. Any candidate seeking admission to the BSc programme has to register for PUCAT invariably and prepare accordingly, as admission depends upon performance in that test.

The eligibility criteria for getting admission to the BSc programme is passing the Higher Secondary Certificate, Class 12, with at least an aggregate of 45 % marks in the Science stream. Admission will be merit-based. However, candidates have to appear in the entrance test conducted by Purvanchal University, known as PUCAT. At the end, the documents of eligible candidates would be considered through a counselling process to ascertain their final admission as per performance and available seats.

The last date to apply for BSc at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University was April 15, 2024. However, the registration process commenced on March 1, 2024. Applications are invited through the online mode only. Candidates seeking admission have to complete their application prior to this deadline. Admission shall be based on the scores obtained in the Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test.
