Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) is conducted by the Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University in order to offer students admission in various postgraduate courses. The exam is conducted annually and it is through qualifying PUCAT, that candidates are granted admission to the varsity. Through PUCAT, candidates can get admission in MBA, MA and MSc courses. The mode of the exam is offline and the medium of the entrance exam is English.

The cutoff details for BSc in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry at VBSPU Jaunpur do not exist online. Good side of VBSPU Jaunpur:
- In comparison to other universities, VBSPU is affordable with MBA as a flagship course. The tuition fee, along with other fee components is lower.
- The University offers UG, PG and PhD courses across various specialisations. All these courses are accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
- Through various scholarship opportunities, SC/ST students receive a 5% relaxation in the qualifying degree exam.

All admissions are entrance exam-based, like PUCAT, JEE Main, UPCET, GATE, etc., as per the program. Candidates need to appear for the counseling process after clearing the entrance exams where seat allotment and document verification will be done. Direct admission without going through the entrance exams is not permitted.

There is no special age criterion declared for seeking admission into the M.Tech course programme at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU) Jaunpur.
