Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University is a state university that resides within a campus size of 171.5 acres in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. VBSPU holds an ‘A+’ NAAC accreditation and is recognised by the UGC. It was established in 1987, under the UP State University Act 1973. The university began its journey with 68 affiliated colleges. It eventually expanded its horizon to 552 affiliated colleges giving programs for graduates and post-graduates.
VBSPU contains 6 faculty departments at the University campus and over 10 faculty departments in affiliated colleges that have specialisations in Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Management Studies, Applied Social Science, Science, and Law. The courses involve various specialisations in MBA, BA, BTech, BSc, MSc, MTech, and MCA in full-time and part-time modes. VBSPU became an affiliating-cum-residential university in the year 2019, which further added 16 residential courses.
VBSPU holds 573 affiliated colleges separated into two places, Jaunpur and Ghazipur, which are districts in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. No, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2027 registrations have not commenced yet. The registration window will be active at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2027 notification in first week of January. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2027 process will commence online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2027 exam must complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they have fulfilled the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.
CUET results usually declares in June. Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to download their CUET scorecard online when released. Hostels: There are four hostels for male students at the institution. The VBSPU hostels have amenities such as a dining hall, gym, study area, leisure room, and students' mess. The head warden is in charge of safeguarding the safety and security of students, and students are expected to abide by the laws and regulations of the hostels. There are two different hostels for females at the college. Each room may accommodate two or three people, and each student has access to a cot, a cabinet, a study table, and a chair. Every VBSPU hostel is well-equipped with all the amenities, including internet access, recreational amenities, a gym, common areas, etc.
Library: The university library is well-stocked with academic journals, newspapers, government publications, press clippings, and reference materials including dictionaries, atlases, yearbooks, encyclopaedias, and directories, among other materials. Sports: The institution features a sizable open stadium that can hold thousands of people and has hosted several university sporting events. The university offers basic facilities for conducting sports, NSS, rovers and rangers programmes.
