Unlike others, I have considered that you didn't write JEE or BITSAT or that you didn't do well. I started my prep about ten days before the exam. I had never performed well in JEE mock tests, so I had never prepared from JEE perspective. I realised at that moment VIT was the best college I could get into and decided to put effort. Full Effort. I bought that Arihant mock test book. I recommend you to solve more of the precise year papers, as the mock tests are really basic. Keep A notebook of formulas handy, and repeatedly revise from that. Knowing that I did good on boards, I covered the 12th portion thoroughly and revised 11th lightly. Howevee, I recommend you to study Conic Sections and Laws of Motion as they asked unexpectedly lot of questions from these. Attempt the test in the order:
English
Chemistry
Physics
Maths.

Both the institute are good equally, but Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than VIT. Thapar has various international rankings, excellent placement records, a qualified team of professionals as faculty members who provide the best possible guidance. Although VIT has a better ranking but grooming wise TIET does the work better. Thapar University is better than VIT in placements as well as in academics. Thapar focus is always on quality whereas VIT's main focus is on quantity. Placement statistics of both colleges is almost same but as the number of students in VIT is too many therefore Thapar would always be at the upper hand.
If we compare both institutions on the basis of studies, faculty, quality if education, and placements, I would totally recommend you VIT Vellore over Thapar University.

Not everyone agrees with me that computer Science encompasses software engineering, but I do SEE the logic in doing so. You'll SEE that the second list is useless without the knowledge presented in the first. After acquiring a theoretical grounding in computer Science, one may next go on to the more practical realm of software engineering. It's the difference between a physicist and an engineer in any of the other branches of Science and technology. Yes, Physics is used by engineers, but there is much more to the field than simply equations and theoretical thought.
