For a candidate belonging to the general category, a cutoff of 5906 - 67112 is the range based on 2025 closing round ranks. While WBJEE cutoff 2026 is yet to be drop, the cutoff is likely to follow a similar trend this year too. Hence, a rank of 5800 or above is an ideal goal. For the Admission to UG and PG courses is done on the basis of cut-off in IMU-CET entrance examination conducted by the university. Admission criteria for B.Tech. Marine Engineering is minimum of 60% marks in PCM and minimum of 50% in English in 10+2 and have qualified IMU-CET. These entrance exam is conducted by the university .Candidates under all categories must appear for the IMU's Common Entrance Test (CET) and qualify in order to be eligible for admission to this program. You have to score above 70% for getting a seat in IMU Kolkata because ther is very few seats available. The eligibility criteria is as pe University 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/12th examination.but with 70 %younhave to wait for the second list for your addmission. The facilities of the Aliah university is good along withe the faculties. But the issue id with the co-curricular activities that shold be there in every college.

There are no programmes or functions as such so as to help the students develop their talents in other fields.

The placement ratio in the university is also very low.

However the campus is very beautiful.
