Applicants must scored 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for GEN/OBC and OBC-NCL categories and 55% for SC/ST/PWD in any recognised board.
By default the following range of marks are related to the grades: A+: 90-100, A: 80-89, B+: 70-79, B: 60-69, C: 50-59, D: 40-49, F: <40. The instructor may change these ranges in the We Learn system to obtain an even distribution of grades.

There are admission test for these two collge Shivnath sastri and shree shikshyatan college Kolkata. Cut off list of these colleges are offline and change year by year based on the students and class intake.

Coochbehar government engineering College has a well-working placement cell.
Various types of IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys come to hire students.
According to last year's statistics, about 80% of students have got campus placements. The highest salary package offered is 48 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4.8 LPA to 5.2 LPA. Internships are not available. In general, computer Science students get placed better.
