It is good, although you shouldn't expect much from any mess of any college. The quality of food is good on average and there are mess members from each batch who decide their menu for the whole month with the consultations of other cadets.

There is no CGPA concept at IMU Kolkata, because the marks are calculated in percentage and you pass with a percentage system of marks. As you score well you will definitely have a good percentage of marks that will help to get placed with good companies.

He can request the subject teacher to take his exam separately with a valid reason to why he missed the exam. The subject teachers are supportive and usually provide you the opportunity to give exams with a valid reason. If you still can't, you just have to score big in university external exams and ensure that in Aggregate it crosses 50 marks in total to pass the exam

Then you will have to score good marks in the university external exams . The overall pass mark is to score more than 50 marks compulsory, with more than 35 out of 70 in external mandatory. If you score low in Internal exams then you just have to score good in externals and need to insure that it passes the overall 50 marks in total as well.
