Obviously, according to me, you should go for M.Sc zoology
& if you are interested in any other field, you can go for that. Overall, you are free to select your goal.

B.Sc (IT) is a very good course and there are many other courses listed below:
1. MCA (Master of Computer Application)
MCA is the most preferred course after doing B.Sc (IT), you can opt for any stream in MCA whether it is programming and development, database or testing or networking. It depends on you that which stream you want to choose.
All the streams in computer applications have a lot of scope for you to get a very good job.

In order to be eligible for a Bachelors degree for Zoology, the candidate needs to pass the higher secondary education or 10+2 from a recognized board with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the Bachelors course is three years.
In order to be eligible for a Masters Course in Zoology, the candidate needs to have completed their Bachelors course with 50 per cent or above. The duration of the Masters course is two years.

Now, you should apply for M.Sc in biotech, M.Tech and Ph.D.
As you are interested in research work, you should also do training or project in biotech labs. For eg: Panacea biotech lab is the best biotech lab in India & Cytogene lab is the best in Lucknow.
While you are pursuing M.Sc in biotech, do training between the course not after it.

The cut-off for IIT JAM Chemistry 2017 is:
General category: 25
OBC category: 23
SC/PWD/ST category: 15
On this basis, you should prepare for 50 marks & you will get 35-40 marks. Your selection will depend on the cut-off.
