Yes, students can prepare for UPSC, UGC NET and other competitive exams while pursuing M.A. Sociology at LPU. The syllabus covers important sociology concepts, social issues and research topics that are useful for these exams. With proper time management, many students can balance regular classes with self study. The curriculum also helps improve analytical thinking, writing skills and subject knowledge, which are valuable for competitive exam preparation and future career opportunities.

LPU provides dedicated placement and career support for B.Ed students through its placement cell, which connects graduates with opportunities in schools, educational institutions, coaching organizations, and the edtech sector. Students also benefit from teaching internships, practical classroom training, personality development programmes, and interview preparation, helping them build the skills required for teaching and education-related careers. Placement opportunities may vary depending on individual performance, specialization, and employer requirements.

No. LPU does not offer the B.Ed programme in distance mode. The university offers B.Ed as a regular programme because teacher education requires classroom learning, teaching practice and school internships. Students looking for a B.Ed from LPU should choose the regular mode to gain practical experience and build the skills needed for a teaching career.

I feel GIBS is getting noticed by more students because it offers much more than just classroom learning.
Before taking admission, I actually checked out a lot of colleges. I compared different options, spoke to people, and did my own research. In the end, I chose GIBS, and looking back, I feel it was the right decision for me.
What I liked is that students get plenty of opportunities to learn through workshops, guest lectures, industry visits, live projects, and other activities. It makes the overall experience much more practical.
The campus environment is friendly, the faculty is supportive, and you get encouraged to learn, participate
