No, there has been news that BEd will be of 1 year starting 2026 onwards, but it has not been implemented yet.

The application fee is INR 100 for IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam. For the course, it is around Rs. 55k for two years.

The eligibility criteria for BEd in IGNOU is
- 50% marks in UG/PG
- must have completed a NCTE-recognised teacher training education programme through face-to-face mode
