No, its is not compulsory at college of Arts, University of Delhi because as per the Delhi High Court rejected a plea to set up compulsory dormitory facilities for D.U. students and ruled that these provisions are not laid down in varsity rules. and also College of Arts, University of Delhi does not even have their own hostel facilities for there own students also. But if you want to live in hostel and enjoy the hostel life you can stay in hostels nearby the college of arts, University of Delhi or you can also stay in PGs nearby which provide good facililties at afforable prices range. There are also few independent houses nearby the college in which students who don't want to live in hostels and PGs can stay but have to do their stuffs themselves. Therefore it might be a little expensive but it totally depends on you that where do you want to live and the most important what is your budget.
