There is still an extra edge that you have due to the category over other students. All the best!

Hi Akshay,
A transfer certificate from an educational institution has no period of validity in which it has to be used. Maximum is that the new institution may ask the student holding the transfer certificate to get a verification letter from the issuing institution thereby confirming that it has issued the said transfer certificate. Another thing it can ask for is for an affidavit of the transferred student that he has not made use of the said transfer certificate which is in his possession. The obvious reasoning to this is that the name of the student is deleted from the record of the institution issuing the transfer certificate. A remark is written on the relevant allocated page of the register concerning the student that a transfer certificate has been issued to the said student on. And that the said student is no longer a student of that institution. Now it is upto the said student to make use of the said certificate and submit the said certificate in the new institution at the time of his joining the same. A new folio is allocated to the said student in the new institution and the said transfer certificate is kept in its record by the said new institution. The contents of the said transfer certificate are noted in the said account of the student which later form a part of a transfer certificate which the new institution will issue in case a transfer certificate is required from the new institution. The transfer certificate is an important document of the student and forms an integral part of the students documents.

You will have to score at least 96% if you are in general category and approximately 93-94 if in reserved category to be on safe side.
