The open university offers a six-month-long certificate course in Childcare and Development (CCCD). Candidates who passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination and a two-year recognised ITI course after Class 10 and cleared NCVT or GCVT can apply. In order to get a pass certificate in CCCD, a student must secure at least 36% aggregate in each subject.

Admission for February 2023 is open at the open university for postgraduate courses. Candidates can register and submit their applications. These courses are taught through two departments, i.e., the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Computer Science at the university. Candidates seeking admission at any of the certificate programmes shall have passed at least Class 8 to Class 12. The eligibility requirements can vary from one specialisation to another.
