GGSIPU is a government university. GGSIPU is a UGC approved university. Being a government university, the fee for various courses is not very high.  The tuition fee for UG/ PG courses like BTech is INR 2.3L - INR 7.4L & M.Tech is INR 1.9 L - INR 2.8 L. 

GGSIPU has all the qualities of a tier 1 university. The university placements are good. Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) and CloudTechner recently offered placement packages to the AI & ML & AI-DS students. The infra of the university is also good. The classrooms are embedded with the latest & modern technologies. 

BTech tuition fees at GGSIPU is INR 7.6 Lacs for all BTech courses in the academic year 2026. However, candidates are also required to pay other fees in the form of university charges, alumni deposit, development and infrastructure fees and others on top of the aforementioned tuition fees.Check the GGSIPU brochure for all the details on BTech fees.

If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.Lateral entry BTech admissions at GGSIPU are done on the basis of merit in IPU CET.

To be eligible for GGSIPU BTech (lateral) admissions, candidates need to clear the BSc course with a minimum aggregate of 60%. Candidates must clear a BSc course with Mathematics as a mandatory subject as well to apply for BTech (lateral) at GGSIPU.

BTech (lateral) eligibility criteria at GGSIPU requires candidates to clear a Diploma course with a minimum duration of three years from the respective engineering or technology field. Some of the Diploma course fields accepted for BTech (lateral entry) admissions are as follows:Computer EngineeringChemical EngineeringConstruction EngineeringElectrical EngineeringMechanical Engineering 

The tuition fees for the BTech (lateral entry) corses at GGSIPU is INR 5.6 Lacs in 2026. This fees contains the tuition fees for 2026, 2027 and 2028. Candidates will be paying the installments of other fee components for the above mentioned years with the BTech (lateral entry) tuition fees.

No, general category candidates with an aggregate of 50% in Class 12 board exams are not eligible for GGSIPU BTech courses. To be eligible for BTech at GGSIPU, candidates need to score a minimum of 55% in their Class 12 board exams in the relevant stream.Hoever, candidates of non-general category may get relaxation in the eligiblity criteria, making them eligible for GGSIPU BTech admission.
