Assuming that you are asking for biotechnology in university school of biotechnology, GGSIPU, I would say that I have had a wonderful time here. The faculty is amazing and well qualified. They are always ready to help the students in every way that they can. they are all pioneers in their respective fields. Apart from that the labs are very good. Well equipped and technologically apt labs are very important for any biotechnology institution. The alumnus of the college are quite successful and their presence can be seen in almost all leading universities of the world as well as various firms. Overall it was an enriching experience.

Hi Risheik,
Both the institutes mentioned by you are equally good and thus it will be very difficult to tell which one will be the best option. However, we can help you with the parameters that you can keep in mind while choosing an institute.

It is quite difficult to say that 396 is a safe rank to get admission given that you are from general category. Although last year's ranks might give you an idea, but you cannot rely on them completely in biotech admissions as the trend changes every year.It might be difficult to get admission in the first counseling with this rank but you can hope for the second counseling. But I would advice you to keep your other options open too as in the 2012 batch that is my batch,The last rank admitted even after second counseling was 82. But do not loose hope. do try in the second counseling. you might get admission as many people withdraw after first counseling.

Assuming that you are talking of B.Tech in, 16,562 is not so good rank. The number of seats are limited in B.Tech colleges. Although you won't be able to secure admission in top ranked colleges, but you can still get admission in some colleges like HMR institute of technology. But if you belong to a reserved category there are chances that you might get admission to a better college. For further information you can check the last rank admitted in last year which is available on various websites. Please approve the answer if found useful.
