It could be due to a variety of things, including the situation, mindset, and preferences. I don't trust the rumors because I believe that every rising institution will have many competitors who will try to smear the organization's name and reputation. If you disclose good placements yourself, then misleading rumors from competitors are certain to circulate. I personally feel B. Tech from LPU is the best engineering degree as compared to the Engineering degrees from any other institute. LPU provides the latest curriculum which is accepted at the industry level, industrial exposures, and the best placement depending upon the caliber of the student. LPU has a stellar record in providing placement opportunities to the students as nearly 700 companies (more than 90% being MNCs) visit every year for campus recruitment of students from LPU. LPUs Hotel Management and Tourism Discipline prepares the students through an industry-endorsed curriculum and intensive service-oriented practicals with industry exposure in excellent infrastructure. The eligibility for the course is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is related with algorithms, computation, programming languages, programme design, computer hardware, computer software etc. It is a comprehensive course in computer systems and applications. The students who pursue the course of Computer Science Engineering are taught about design, the implementation as well as management of computer software and hardware.

The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020.
