Yes, it is true that there is a different culture in LPU from different states and countries but it is not true that students take drugs at LPU.
LPU is one of the most secure campuses and it is under CCTV 24/7.
I did MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is also studying over there in B.Tech CSE.

Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft.
LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program.
Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors.
Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries that help students to explore themselves more in their field such as IBM, Intel, Xebia, Upgrad, etc.

I did MBA from LPU and got admission based on graduation marks and entrance exam. I recommend you secure a minimum of 70% marks in the board for admission at LPU. On the other hand, to get admission at LPU in B.Tech, you should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class with mandatory subjects English Maths and Physics. Moreover, you have to either qualify for the LPU NEST exam or you should have a minimum of 85 percentile in JEE Mains exam.
