Being studied at LPU I would like to say that LPU has a very simple admission process when it comes to Ph.D. For admission to Ph.D. the criteria are 55% aggregates marks in your Masters and you have to qualify interview along with LPU NEST. Also, LPU is the only university in India that gives multiple coursework options for Ph.D. (Part-time) students. LPU follows the eligibility norms very stringently, so the research scholar has to fulfill the criteria. LPU offers flexible coursework options-
1) Classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only)
2) 4 days course work every month (Preferably every second week: Thu-Sun)
3)15 days course work (November/December)
During your coursework, you will taught courses like Research Methodology, Foundations of Research, Research Writing and Presentation. The eligibility is:
Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to clearing LPU NEST and Interview. If you are UGC/NET qualified then you are exempted from LPU NEST but to avail the maximum scholarship it is advisable to appear in LPU NEST. LPU has the most advanced labs dedicated to research work. Many labs are maintained by Cisco, Cadence. LPU also has a Central Instrumentation Facility which is one of its kind. It has high-end instruments and these instruments and facilities help the faculty members, research scholars, and students to carry out globally competitive research in basic, applied, and medical sciences. The Lab has many instruments like Powder X-ray diffractometer, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Density Meter, Viscometer, Probe Sonicator, Gas Chromatograph and Mass Spectrometer, and much more. I would suggest going for LPU if you are thinking of pursuing a Ph.D. LPU has over 2300 highly qualified faculty, and most of them are either Ph.D. or pursuing Ph.D. You can interact with the faculty members of other domains and they can be your guides, co-guides. For more information regarding Ph.D. you can give a call on 01824-404404.

YES, ofcourse. It is my second year I am pursuing Ph.D. in Mathematics from LPU. To get admission in Ph.D. in LPU, you need to qualify an entrance test called LPU NEST at the first place. After qualifying LPU NEST you have to appear in an interview and qualify it too. Bu to be very honest, if you have studied Masters in detail, it is not difficult at all. The syllabus is always as per the syllabus of UGC NET but the level of question is a bit soft. Any average student can qualify it. The question paper consists of two parts, the first part about reasoning and the second part about the core subject. Then comes the interview part. Once you confidently appear in the interview and your soft-skills are good, you can easily qualify it. Here they check your oral knowledge about your field and the interest in research. On the basis of performance in LPU NEST one is you get the admission and second you can avail the scholarship too. I suggest you go for it, give it a try. All the best. Hope this helps. Thanks.

As you have scored good marks in +2 you should give LPUNEST so that you can get a scholarship too. If you've got a mind for money, markets, and all things financial, and economics MBA could be an excellent degree path for you. An MBA in economics is associated with a wide range of jobs, high earning potential, and excellent career growth. MBAs are in high demand and, thanks to online and part-time degree programs, are more accessible than ever before. With such a degree, you'll develop powerful quantitative reasoning and be able to apply economic theory to practical business planning and decision-making. I have connections with many seniors who have done the MBA in economics at LPU, they said LPU keeps improving and increasing its placements packages year on year. Even the number of recruiters visiting the campus increase every year. LPU continuously going better and better with its focus on developing future leaders, who could drive change, whether as an asset to some global corporate giants or as an entrepreneur who creates jobs for many. I shouldn't even have to explain this one. The highest Package offered - 22 LPA Impeccable placement records with more than 150 companies including ITC, Asian Paints, HDFC, Federal Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Moodys Analytics, WNS Global, etc. And so on recruiting MBA students on a yearly basis with the highest package in MBA at 21 Lacs Per Annum and on an average package will be 4LPA TO 6 LPA with nearly 90 % placement rates. The placements on average for all the streams of management including Marketing and Sales, Finance, Operations, and HR. LPU keeps improving and increasing it placements packages year on year. Even the number of recruiters visiting the campus increase every year. Not only for placements, Mittal School of Business, but LPU would also be the best choice for various reasons: Accreditation: School of Business has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) of the USA for its Management, Commerce, and Economics programs. Ranking: School is ranked No. 2 in India in Outreach and Inclusivity and 49th overall in the prestigious NIRF 2020 ranking released by The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
