Yes, your distance education will be deemed valid for any further documentation and formal proceedings in your career. Moreover, I would suggest you to once go through UGC NET brochure as you need to match their criteria, eligibility and requirements too. Whereas, in the case of correspondence courses from LPU, your degree is valid everywhere.

Actually, LPU doesn't have any particular counseling office in any of the cities but when the counselors come to your place then they will make it clear about where to meet them and at what time by making an announcement in any newspaper.

Terms and Conditions for the scholarship for multiple students having the same rank:
(a) In case of open board, students must have scored at least 90% marks.
(b) In case the board is giving the same rank to multiple students.
I. Scholarships will be given to all students subject to scoring at least 97% marks. For example, there are 10 students having same marks and the board has given them the same rank (rank 10), in that case, scholarship will be given to all 10 students (up to top 20 rank holders) if they are having at least 97% marks even if there are 50 students above this rank.
ii. If for a board, no student is scoring more than 97% marks, the equivalent percentage can be computed taking 100% as a base. The method is as follows:
In case any board Rank-1 holder has 95.20% marks, it will be considered equivalent to 100% and cut-off will be calculated as 92.32%.
iii. The condition of 97% (in case of multiple students having the same rank) will apply only if the number of students deemed eligible for a scholarship exceeds 20 i.e. if the board is giving the same rank to multiple students and the students scoring 97% or more marks are less than 20 than all top 20 students will be eligible for the above scholarship (all students scoring same marks as at 20th Sr. No. will be considered).
iv. The scholarship under this scheme will be provided to a maximum of 200 students where any board is declaring more than 200 students as merit holders.
