Some subjects include Design methods, Fundamentals of design, Design overview, etc. Apart from theory and practical subjects, the curriculum also includes Internship. There are two internships. The duration of summer internship is two months. It starts may onwards. Moreover, final year students have to do a full-time internship.

Some of them are Design methods, Fundamentals of design, Design overview, etc. Other than core subjects, a summer internship is also a part of third year syllabus. For final year students, completion of a full-time internship is mandatory.

The selection process includes three stages. First stage is Design Aptitude Test. The applications start from October. Last date to apply is generally February last week. Application fee for same is INR 3,000. After exam is concluded, candidates are called for next stage. All selected applicants have to report to MIT Institute of Design campus in Pune. Next stage includes a Studio Test and Personal Interview. After conducting all stages, university releases final merit list of selected students. Final selection is based on total score in all three stages.
