MIT ADTU offers admission on the basis of merit and entrance. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 for UG level admissions. Whereas, for admission to PG level courses, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in graduation. In addition to this, candidates must meet the cutoff rank/ score to seek final admission.

For reserved category students, the admission criteria for B.Tech. in CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Analytics) at MIT School of Computing is as follows:
- The candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects.
- Secured minimum 40% marks in the subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject for Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates.

The eligibility criteria for BTech in Aerospace Engineering differ for reserved category c&idates at MIT School of Engineering & Sciences. Reserved category students should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry/Vocational & Mathematics with English as a subject, whereas open category students need to score a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with English as a subject.

The MIT School of Film and Theatre offers 25 seats for its MSc in Filmmaking program. These seats are divided across different specializations: 5 for Direction and Screenplay Writing, 5 for Cinematography, 5 for VFX & Motion Graphics, 5 for Editing, and 5 for Sound Recording and Designing.
