Yes, fees can be paid in installments. Total fee for first year is INR 6.8 lakh. It includes components like Mess & Laundry charges, Hostel charges and Academic Fee. Eyesight is a critical factor for safety at sea. For B.Sc. Nautical Science, you must have 6/6 vision in both eyes without spectacles. For B.Tech Marine Engineering, the limits are slightly more flexible, allowing 6/12 in each eye or 6/9 in one and 6/18 in the other. However, normal color vision is mandatory for all courses; any degree of color blindness will lead to disqualification during the medical exam.

Yes. For MANET BTech courses, SC/ST candidates get a 5-year relaxation, and OBC candidates get 3 years. Female candidates applying for B.Tech Marine Engineering or B.Sc. Nautical Science receive an additional 2-year relaxation to encourage participation.

There are multiple theoretical and practical subjects in the course. The university has multiple company tie-ups across the world. Moreover, internships are a part of curriculum. A summer internship of two months has to be done by students. It starts from May onwards. A full-time internship also has to be completed by final year students.    

There is no specific division of seats under State Quota and All India Quota. However, a vertical reservation up to 50% as per Maharashtra Government norm applies. Category-wise reservations are applicable for state students only. EWS seat reservation is for all. There is 5% reservation for Ex/Active Service Personnel children. Applicants outside Maharashtra are considered in General category.
