To be eligible for MIT-WPU B.Tech programs, candidates must meet the following criteria:For B.Tech programs, candidates should have a minimum of 50% aggregate score in PCM/PCB or Physics & Mathematics with any Technical Vocational Subject in 10+2/Class 12th, with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Biotechnology or Biology/Technical Vocational Courses. Additionally, a minimum of 50% aggregate score in Class 12th/HSC is required.Candidates can also be eligible with a minimum of 60% aggregate score in Diploma in Engineering & Technology in an appropriate branch from a UGC approved University, without any backlog.

For engineering programmes, JEE results and Maharashtra CET or MIT-WPU CET scores must be submitted as part of the admissions procedure. The minimal score needed for admission varies depending on the department and category. The computer Science branch and open category have very high cut-offs, usually requiring scores above 176 and rankings under 200. Furthermore, MIT-WPU takes into account the highest NEET or MHT-CET scores when awarding scholarships for certain programmes. Generally speaking, MIT Pune requires applicants to have a score of at least 150 on the MHT CET in order to get admitted.
