MIT SOM is one of the top most management institutes in Maharashtra.
Placements and exposure are good including the education quality. Average package offered is 7-8 LPA.
There are some other top private colleges in Maharashtra that are as good as MIT.

These college also have admission on the basis of management seats. However, very few seats are there at institutional level.

Robotics and automation engineering is new in this college and it will take nearly 3-4 years to adjust it's course content properly and faculty. Robotics and automation is highly technical and need good faculty. I will suggest you to go for other options if you want good job in near future. If you want to go for higher studies in this branch, then you can opt this course as this course will only provide you basic I think so. Also, I don't think placement will start immediately, it will take time. Course is good and meet the requirement of future trend jobs but I don't think this college can provide you good knowledge in robotics in initial years.

Last year placement analysis is as follows:- (1) Specialisation wise Placement details: 33 percent of students placed in finance, 10 percent of students placed in HR,11 percent of students placed in IB, 36 percent of students placed in marketing and rest 10 percent of students placed in operations. (2) Package wise placement details: Percentage of students placed with a package below Rs 3 Lacs per annum: 18 percent, Between 3-4 Lacs per annum: 27 percent, Between 4-5 Lacs per annum: 37 percent
and above 5 Lacs per annum: 18 percent. (3) Sector-wise placement details: Construction:11 percent, Consultancy: 28 percent, Education:1 percent, Finance: 24 percent, FMCG:7 percent, IT:15 percent, Logistics:1 percent and Manufacturing: 13 percent.
