Total seats offered for BCA at Ranchi University is 600 which includes 9 different institutes affliated under it. Ranchi University also offers good placement to its students . Rnachi University provides a  good infrastructure and has lush green campus spread aross 65 thousand sq km. 

BCA is a three year course. In Ranchi University, its fee is approximately Rs.3,600. For admission, the candidate is required to pass 10+2 with good marks. NIMS claims the highest package of Rs. 12 Lacs and average package of Rs. 4.5 Lacs per annum. NIFR ranking of NIMS is 151. It has academic collaboration with various Indian as well as international universities. According to me, NIMS  has better placements specially in media studies. 

Ranchi University is a government University whereas NIMS University is a private university. As private universities have better infrastructure, college life and extra curricular activities. NIMS is better than Ranchi University in various aspects like the faculty members are good and highly qualified. The are well-equipped with modern facilities like computer labs and all. I will prefer NIMS BBSR for BCA course. In Ranchi University, the BCA placements packages are also quite lower as compared to Naxatra Institute of Media Studies .
