Ranchi University Highlights 2026
1960 was the establishment year of the Ranchi University. It has gained recognition from the UGC. The University is also accredited by the NAAC B++ Grade and is a member of AIU. At present, RU Ranchi has 23 PG departments, 15 constituent colleges, & 49 affiliated colleges, imparting education to students in multiple fields. Ranchi University course admissions are available for UG & PG programmes in streams, including Law, Engineering, Medicine, Psychiatry, and Business Management etc.
Ranchi University admission is offered on the basis of merit and entrance examinations. CUET, CAT, JEE Main, MAT, etc, are a few national-level entrance examinations accepted by the university. Ranchi University Ranchi has fully functional units of NSS & NCC in its colleges. The university also promotes sports and physical fitness by organising inter-university tournaments.
