In general, CGPA is a measure of a student's overall academic performance and is calculated based on the grades or marks obtained in various courses or subjects over a specified period. The CGPA system is typically based on a 10-point scale, where each grade corresponds to a certain grade point. Here is a generalized explanation of how CGPA is calculated in many educational institutions:Determine the grade points: Each course or subject is assigned a certain number of credits. The grade points for each course are usually determined based on the student's performance in assessments like exams, assignments, and projects. A typical 10-point scale assigns grade points as follows:GradeGrade PointO10A+9A8B+7B6C+5C4D3F0Calculate the credit-weighted average: Multiply the grade points earned in each course by the credits assigned to that course. Sum up these credit-weighted grade points for all courses.Calculate the total credits: Sum up the total credits for all courses or subjects.Calculate the CGPA: Divide the total credit-weighted grade points by the total credits. The resulting value is the CGPA.
