ADIS is a Diploma level course. It is arrangements for managing fire safety to avert a fire occurring and to protect people and property. Various topics as evacuation procedures and responsibilities for all staff; maintenance and testing requirements for fire safety equipment; management of contractors;procedures to follow in the event of any alterations to the building; methods of minimising false alarms; responsibilities for carrying out fire risk assessments; and specific procedures for special events involves in this course. The duration of this course is generally 2-year (4-semesters). After completing this course candidates can have jobs in both private and government industries on various designations. The base capability required for induction into a confirmation course is going of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)/tenth standard/identical assessment, within any event 35 percent in Science and Maths subjects.
