Freshers are definitely having hopes and dreams of this college. Few tips that I would like to share for any fresher entering.
1) Form a group of friends within the first week else you will be left out later. SEE the people who match you taste and get social.
2) Make sure you utilise everything that VIT has to offer, like the gym, games, courts and events.
3) Add atleast two people of the cross gender to your group, will be useful in academics and a good campus life.
4) Make sure you study from day 1, as such is the competition and grading system. Tendency of having a backlog in any subject is quite common. So grind well.
5) Make sure you get friendly with almost all the faculty members of your department atleast. Will help you a lot, as they might recommend your name for various events and activities.
6) Make sure you gain enough skills during your campus life and also take part in any physical activity everyday.
7) Register for 4-5 clubs in your first year, as this helps in getting social with others in the college. All I would say is form a lot of friends circle and grind from day -1. Rest assured you will emerge out with flying colours. All the very best.

That's great to hear! Pursuing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry can open up exciting opportunities for research and further specialization in your field. Here are some general steps you can take to begin your journey towards a Ph.D.:
Research your options: Start by exploring universities and research institutions that offer Ph.D. programs in Biochemistry or related disciplines. Look for programs that align with your research interests and offer a strong research infrastructure, faculty expertise, and funding opportunities.
Reach out to potential advisors: Identify professors or researchers whose work aligns with your research interests. Reach out to them via email to express your interest in their research and inquire about potential Ph.D. opportunities in their lab. Building a rapport with potential advisors can significantly strengthen your application.
Prepare your application: Ph.D. application requirements may vary across institutions, but typically, you will need to submit your academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and possibly a research proposal. Take your time to craft a compelling application that highlights your academic achievements, research experience, and your motivation for pursuing a Ph.D.
Prepare for entrance exams (if required): Some universities may require you to take standardized tests like the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or subject-specific exams. Check the requirements of the institutions you are interested in and prepare accordingly.
Secure funding: Look for funding opportunities such as scholarships, fellowships, or research assistantships. Many universities offer funding packages for Ph.D. students, which may include tuition waivers and a stipend for living expenses. Research funding options both within your university and external funding agencies.
Submit your application: Once you have gathered all the necessary documents and completed the required exams, submit your application before the specified deadline. Make sure to follow the application guidelines provided by each institution.
Interview process: If your application is shortlisted, you may be invited for an interview. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your research interests, potential projects, and fit within the program. Prepare for the interview by reviewing your research experience and thinking about your future research goals.
Acceptance and enrollment: If you receive an offer of admission, carefully evaluate your options based on the program, funding, location, and mentorship opportunities. Once you've made your decision, accept the offer and proceed with the enrollment process.

Admission cutoffs in engineering entrance exams like VITEEE can vary each year based on factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the availability of seats. With a rank of 45,000, it might be challenging to secure admission to the IT or CSE branch at VIT campus, as these branches are generally highly sought after and have lower cutoff ranks. However, it's important to note that cutoff ranks can vary each year, and the best way to determine your chances of admission is to refer to the official VIT website or contact the admissions office directly. They will have the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding admission cutoffs and branch availability.
